Rosanne and Conon took over ownership of the Loca-Vore in March 2017. Armed with a lifetime of experience in the Hospitality Industry and a passion for good, local, ethically sourced produce and wine. They strive to provide an experience that showcases the absolute best the Adelaide Hills and surrounding regions have to offer. Whilst maintaing a relaxed and casual atmosphere.
About the food
Conon is a career Chef with over 35 years experience working in restaurants and pubs in Adelaide, Sydney and London. He combines his years of experience with an un-dying passion for food to construct an ever changing no-nonsence menu. With an emphasis on quality, fresh, local ingridents and sustainability.
The menu at Loca-Vore is structured to give as much flexibility as possible to enable us to work around what is currently in season and available from our suppliers. Everything we serve is made in house from the sauces for our steaks to the pastrie for our pies and the ice cream we serve with our desserts. Since we make everything in house we can safely say that the vast majority of our menu is gluten free. We also maintain a good range of vegetarian options and are happy to cater for any dietary requirements as best we can.
Giving Back To The Community
Being part of such a close-knit community like the Adelaide Hills is important to us. As such we do our part to support and sponsor a number of local groups including

- The Heathfield High School Volleyball Program
- Stirling East Primary School
- The Australian Police Football Association
- Mt Lofty Football Club
About the wine
True to the 100 mile diet, we source all of our wines from regions that fall within a radius of 160km of the restaurant. We specifically try to showcase wines from smaller producers and boutique vineyards.
As with the food we endeavour to keep our wine list constantly evolving. We regularly update our offerings by the glass and are always on the lookout for new and exciting wines. So there is always something new to discover!
In addition to the wine we broaden our gaze to encompass boutique, small production distilleries from around Australia (although much is still sourced from within SA). Specifically focusing on those who dabble in the production of Whisky and Gin.
We aslo stock an extensive range of local craft beers, cider and non alcoholic drinks so there is something for evryone!
